The University of Florence is divided into many campuses. The campuses at times include 3 faculties while at other times the campuses are specially located for one specific faculty. Even though they are far from one another, facilities are pretty well organized so that no campus has to depend on one another for any kind of service.

University of Florence

I have a question for the students traveling here….how about a study abroad program in Florence? It is a lovely city. You could get a chance to mix with the Italian people, understand their way of life and their culture.

Florence on the other hand is a very romantic city and it could have a deep impact on you. The American schools are well connected to Florence regarding study abroad programs while even the University of Florence itself has learning agreements with universities all around the world.

Learning a different language is always useful, you could even take a better look at the lovely places around la Bella Italia! Instead of having to rush to the top spots indicated by your guidebook, you can go visit beautiful towns and villages under the Tuscan sun which you have never heard of, or go down south to share the beauty Sicily, Naples and Taranto offer or get some time to travel up north on the Alpine mountains! These are experiences that students must take advantage of. Opportunities like this don’t last forever. You should take the ball on the bounce.
There is a big flow of students in Florence already, Spanish, French, American, Swedish, Mexicans…you name it. This has already brought to exchange of ideas, friendships and intermingling between different people. This shows how different people can come to stay together in peace and tranquility if there is a great environment surrounding you.

Florence has overcome any obstacle to reach that ambience which is ideal for student life. At night, the streets might not be as lively with clubs and discs like those in London, but sitting by the river Arno near the Ponte Vecchio with the dim light of the lanterns along the road or having a beer at Michelangelo square getting to see the whole of Florence, are moments that only this lovely city can share with us. I could bet you a penny that once your study program in Florence will be over, you will carry with you exceptional memories. The old man next door who bids you good day, to the beautiful lady at the store with that great smile, the wonderful  friends and that strong bond you made with this city from day 1. Think about it…a once in a lifetime experience, waiting for you.
