PIIIIIZZAAAAAA! Something that I could eat day and night non-stop. It was love at first sight for me and definitely a majority of  you folks. Well I certainly envy the pizza specialists. Making pizza’s is definitely a turn on for the girls and that’s where our lovely mothers come to the rescue! Who knows to cook more delicious food then them. Learn as much as you can and you’ll see how handy it will be in the future…In my opinion home food is always the best food and one should always learn from the best 😀

Pizza in Florence

Now, If I have a least amount of writing skills I should have succeeded in getting you tempted…Pardon me for that. Though I do have a couple of solutions for this feeling to be well satisfied. A quick personal review for the best pizzas  in Florence will be for starters. Ill then provide you with a few suggestions just in case you want to try the best one.

  • Ristorante Senza Nome

That’s the first choice…it has always been and has never let me down. Not too close to the center but its a 10 minute worth bus drive. The top of the top is Pizza Nduja and Spilinga. The names might not seem familiar and nor will the taste, since these are a rarity. Nduja is a specialty of Calabria. Its a spicy salami paste made with pork meat, a bit of fat, salt and lots of red chilies.  So the Nduja pizza is basically a Margherita with nduja whereas the Spilinga is a little more elaborated with red onions. Via Francesco Anton Doni 43. Number: 055.350696       Click here for the map.

  • Ristorante Nerone

Really close to the station and a very quiet and peaceful ambiance. Earlier I worked as a receptionist in a close by Hotel. One day I didn’t get my meal packed and ordered a pizza from them. I never got food packed from home again 🙂 My favorite topping was mushrooms (champignon), salsiccia and chilli. They normally serve thin crust so if you prefer it thick, don’t forget to ask a double topping(doppio impasto). Via Faenza 95red  Number: 055 291217?   Click here for the map.

  • Pugi

My first pizza taglio that I tasted in Florence.  Everyone told me of Pugi’s so I desiced to try it out after my Uni lessons were over. I definitely spent a lot of time in Pugi’s. They are well distributed in and around the center. The most strategic one is at Piazza San Marco.  This pizza taglio has nothing to do with most of the commercial pizza taglio joints around. Try it!

  • Home

Well I couldn’t leave this off the list. As I said the home food is always the best. So incase anyone invites you for dinner at home, make it a point to say pizza!
