WASHING MACHINE:

At the end of each wash cycle, please wait about 5 minutes before opening the washer door (European washing machines have a security blocking device that does not allow immediate opening of the door).

To avoid any damage to the washing machine, please remove all loose objects from your clothes before starting the wash cycle.

ROOM VENTILATION AND AIRING-OUT:

To avoid mildew and excess vapor condensation, please open the window after showering.

DOORS AND COMMON AREA STAIRWELL:

Please do not slam doors, neither your apartment front door or the building main entrance door, especially at night.

Italians are very cautious and sensitive about excessive noise, especially in apartment buildings, and if needed they will call the police.

SHOWER/BATHTUB DRAIN:

After showering, please remove all hair from the drain before plugging up the pipes. Repairs can be costly!

KITCHEN SINK DRAIN:

In Italy we do not have sink garbage disposals.

To avoid clogging up the drain, please do not allow food or solids to wash down.

Before washing dishes, pots or pans in the kitchen sink, make sure that all food has been thrown in the garbage.

TOILET DRAIN:

Important! Do not flush anything but toilet paper down this toilet (i.e. feminine products, etc..)

Because of the type of toilet, any other kind of material will cause damage and costly repairs that will be charged to you.

ELECTRICAL OVERLOAD:

Do not run all appliances at the same time, i.e. washing machine, oven and computers or lights or hairdryers.

Electrical overloads may occur and result in a power outage.

In case of a power outage, please turn off all appliances and lift the switch indicated by the arrow.

LIGHTS:

Please remember to turn off all lights when you leave a room or the apartment.
