Wondering what Florentines eat and what’s unique in the Florence’s Italy cousine? This is the food you must try upon arrival in our City no excuses you cannot leave the city without having tried one of these dishes!

1) Bistecca alla Fiorentina

Probably the most notorious one stop meal from Firenze! Bistecca needs to be from a tall cut, raw (al sangue);  it’s a shame to ask it cooked well done, expect to find Restaurants they’ll say no!

2) Ribollita

The queen of the “Piatti Poveri Toscani” (simple and inexpensive old times dishes) is a delicious soup with bread and vegetables a must try!

3) Pappa al Pomodoro

A simple soup of bread and tomatos with oil of oil and basilic.  Delicious!

4) Crostini Toscani

Available in All Tuscany is a mix of sliced grilled bread combined with various souces from ground liver, to cube size tomatoes (small bruschette) with garlic and oil of oil! Variations are not enumerable!

5) Trippa alla Fiorentina

Here we start getting serious about Florence and its unpredictable dishes…Trippa alla Fiorentina is made out of guts of the cow nicely washed, cooked with tomatoes and a spray of Parmisan Cheese! Yummy!

6) Il Lampredotto!

This is pure courage, if your stomach took with ease eating guts with a Trippa alla Fiorentina try picturing yourself eating the final made from the fourth and final stomach of a cow.  Once again is well cleaned and super yummy comes as a salad or stuffed in a panino: common lunch break for Florentines!
