Hello everyone! I am proudly sharing a great tip with you all. In the whole of Florence this was the missing puzzle to complete all the delicacies found here. Of coarse no one is complaining against the bistecca Fiorentina or the pizzas, just a little touch of something that students coming from far away might miss.
For all those Americans, English or Aussies missing Bagels with creams, muffins, Club Sandwiches, Chocolate Chip Cookies, American Coffee and Pumpkin Pies… Mamma’s Bakery is here to fulfil your wishes! An American-style forno (bakery) in Florence, as we say in Italy “come si deve” that means, an American bakery as we know them.
The bakery is found on the other side of the arno in Via della Chiesa, 34/red. It is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am – 3pm. Sundays unfortunately they are closed.
