Mother’s day is finally here! If the whole year round its mother that takes care of us(no hard feelings dad, but you know mom is mom) :), from waking you up in the morning, making all the meals and taking care of the house, today is dedicated just for them! For them because without them this would never be a better world and for them because mothers are always something special, someone who will never leave our side worrying about every step we take deeper into the world. It is celebrated on different days on different parts of the world but since we are in Italy Festa della Mamma is celebrated on the second Sunday in the month of May.
In Florence there are some lovely Pasticcerie that prepare cakes and have a variety of pastries to choose from so don’t forget to get some since today mom is not supposed to bake her own cake! I can suggest a few around Florence that are tried by myself and confirmed with an A for their delicacies. Pasticceria Sieni, Pasticceria Borgo degli Albizi, Pasticceria of San Marco,, Pasticceria Ruggeri and Gandolfo di Imburgia. Of course if you want to try out American delights like muffins and creamy cakes go straight to Mama’s bakery. Have a lovely day all together with family!
