I remember not too long a go a friend of mine made me discover a costless way to go get some fresh air and tan in Florence which I never dare trying … tanning by the rats.
Sound creepy but I have seen lots of students during hot afternoon breaks tanning by the canals on the river Arno laying down and watch the water flow from brick to brick and step to step of water.
The area is well packed by animals of all kinds such as river fish, ducks of all sizes and king of the realm lots of friendly nutrie / beavers that will be more than happy to keep you company while you bronze your skin.
Be careful despite the friendly looking and attitude biting is common 🙂 look out when you grab the sun screen !
