5. How can you not be eager to taste the Florentine cuisine? The famous specialty is the Florentine steak called “la Bistecca alla Fiorentina“. A steak of the Chianina cow,  leaving the meat half cooked and half raw. Of course for those who would not like to do so, may request it fully cooked!

6. The real statue of David, completed by Michelangelo is situated right here at the Galleria dell’Accademia.

9. The San Lorenzo market famous for its leather products sold on transportable stalls lying on either side of the road as well as the fresh vegetables, fruits and meat stalls located internally.

10. Last but not least is for all wine connoisseurs or those who don’t mind  a good wine to go with their meals. The area surrounding Florence, is the birthplace of Chianti. It is in these hills, where the fields full of vineyards produce  4 different types of Chianti. A good drive along these hills will give you a taste of the Tuscan lifestyle.
