Another review added from old system: Hi Francesca, We have had a great time so far in Firenze. It is a really fun place and we've really enjoyed it. The weather got a lot better! The view from the window is lovely as well, and we really like the bathroom! It's also been great to have a good sized wardrobe and internet access. The only feedback I'd mention is that the tenants upstairs kept us awake until after 12:30 last night as they were wearing shoes in the apartment and walking around a LOT (and dropping things on the floor etc.). As they have a wooden floor it was VERY loud and we could not sleep. However, I went upstairs and asked them to remove their shoes and told them what the problem was. They were apologetic and told us they were just going out to a party. You might ask them to remove their shoes when they are home in the evening (after 10pm) and then it should be ok for future guests. It was just difficult as I had an early start for work this morning and we didn't get much sleep! Other than that the apartment has been just perfect, and the location is great. Everything has worked with no problem. We've really enjoyed it and we thank you for our stay. We have bought train tickets for Sunday morning at 11am so will be gone by 10.00. We'll probably walk unless it's raining. Thanks again, Felice and Rob Victoria Australia mach 2009

Review imported from old system and submitted by previous customer: I stayed at this apartment in Via San Gallo along with three of my friends for three months while we were studying at a nearby university. Firstly throughout the period we were staying here we found Francesca to be very accommodating and she helped us whenever we had questions about the rental agreement or the payment of fees. Regarding the house itself, we found that it provided great value for money for the amount of people that could stay there relative to other properties around the city. The location was good - it was away from all of the tourist traffic, but still within a 15 minute walk of the Duomo and a 15 minute walk in the other direction of a local supermarket called Essalunga which had a huge variety of produce at an affordable price. The house was also situated ontop of a delicious pizzeria, so whenever you didn't feel like cooking you could have a pizza in the room in a few minutes! The location was very safe and we would walk home from nights out at all times of the night/morning and not have any dramas. Everything is within walking distance which is perfect, and of course walking in Florence is not something you get sick of very quickly! The apartment is also located about 50 metres from a 'secret bakery' (http://ciaodownbella.blogspot.com.au/2011/10/secret-secret-bakeries-of-florence.html), which sells very tasty sweet pastries on weekends at 1 euro each! It's great! Security was very good, you needed to use two keys to get into the apartment; the first to get through the street door and the second to enter the apartment. The existence of two bathrooms was a godsend and the showers were all quite powerful and comfortable. The beds were large enough for us to fit in and were reasonably comfortable. There is an air-conditioner which may be used if you are staying during the summer, but be mindful of the expensive utility costs across Florence. The cupboards provided ample space for clothes, bags and other things (such as excess groceries). Storage was not an issue here at all. The kitchen was well equipped with enough cutlery, bowls, plates, pans and pots to cook a variety of different meals. On occasion there was not enough table space for us to prepare all of the vegetables in the kitchen, but this was not a problem as we used the dining table instead. The sofa in the living room folds out to a huge double bed which is comfortable and can easily sleep two people. It can be quite difficult to fold in and out, and we had to do this quite often as the bed takes up a large amount of the living room. However you do get accustomed to doing this. Like the other reviews have stated, there is a very popular bar which runs until late for about three nights a week and it can be quite noisy if you are in the bedroom closest to the street. The noise is somewhat mitigated if you close the windows, but it might be necessary to buy some earbuds if you find it difficult to sleep. We got used to the noise very quickly and didn't have any trouble - but just be wary of this. The only other thing which this property lacked and would have been very useful for us and for others planning on a longer stay is an oven. However, we managed to get by fine without one. Overall, however, we would no doubt stay here again if we visited Florence in the future given it was extremely good value for money. None of us would not hesitate in recommending this property to others. Thank you Francesca for all of your help and for making our stay in Florence so enjoyable!
